About Me
isA is A multimedia journalist passionate in telling stories through a lense of empathy and responsible journalistic ethics. She aims to shine a light on issues or people from underrepresented voices.
Since childhood, Isa has pursued her passion in storytelling, taking classes in non-fiction writing and exploring the dynamics of film making and graphic design. Seeing a gap in agenda-setting stories told by women of color and an even lower percentage of Latinx women, inspired her to disrupt the lack of intersectional representation that exists in U.S. based media landscape. She has worked at CNN's New York Bureau covering justice and crime beats, and as an arts & culture freelance writer for the Daily Astorian. In her spare time, she photographs members of the queer community and drag queen scene.
